Description

Students at the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Finance of Manchester are shown addressing communications in the campaign to sell war bonds to build the USS Frank Knox. They are, first row, left to right, Marily Garfield, Jane Chandler, Theresa Lesmerises and Beatrice Gagnon; second row, Elwin Marcotte of Fremont, Elmer Campbell of Berlin, Edward Mahoney and Maurice Lacerte; third row, Ann Mary Moore, Selina Berger, Naoma Chapman and Edna Trudeau; fourth row, Richard Frenette, Alfred Cappon and Robert McPhee; and, last row, Ruth Sullivan and Shirley Quickley, Harry A.B. Shapiro, CPA, Headmaster, and Marie Bouchard, teacher, are passing address lists to students.

The U.S.S. Frank Knox, a Destroyer named after the founding editor of the Manchester Leader who later served as Secretary of the Navy.
